Pirate's Taming of the Shrew 'Bianca'

The Pirate Puppy Policy

Any puppies we have are home raised & born right in my bedroom. After a few weeks, they move onto bigger and noisier areas of the house. They are registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, are microchipped, and are sold on Non-Breeding Contracts issued by the CKC. Puppies leave for new homes after 8 weeks of age having their first shots by a licensed DVM and at least two dewormings. A large manilla envelope also leaves with each puppy containing all health info., sheets on feeding, exercising, crate training, helpful hints, a sales contract, a warranty guarantee for hereditary defects (such as hip/elbow dysplasia and eyes), pedigree and pedigree guide, recommended books on a variety of topics and the buyers copy of the Non-Breeding contract. All puppies are sold on Non-Breeding Contracts.

Older Labs & Rescue

We currently don't have any older dogs available. Often we hear of Labradors who need rehoming. Sometimes they are with responsible breeders and sometimes with a reliable rescue. If you are looking for add an older Labrador to your home,

Pirate Litters

November 3, 2020
Currently I have no puppies, adults or litters due. Pirate Labradors has never been about 'just' having puppies, its been about breeding quality Labrador Retrievers. I want to maintain this great heritage breed. I am planning, pending a second Covid 19 wave doesn't hinder me, two litters to be bred in late 2020 and puppies for new homes in March/April/May 2021. The timeline is approximate, until someone comes into season, it will fluctuate.

Litter #1- All Yellows- 'Jane' is in heat and will be bred having her retirement litter in January 2021, puppies ready for new homes in March 2021. Inquiries will open up after she is bred and instructions posted here.

Litter #2- 'Bailey' will be bred to have a litter of blacks and chocolates. Stud dog to be determined.

Please bookmark our site and check back if you are interested in a puppy in 2021. We are hopeful that we can manage to have the veterinary care we need to breed, whelp and raise a litter of puppies during the second wave of COVID 19.

Sorry, we are not taking names at this time. When we are, all potential new families will be required as part of our process, to fill out a questionnaire. Completion of this does not mean you are approved to the next stage of interview or getting a puppy.
